Ms. Branch was the recipient of Connecticut Commission for the Arts Urban Artists Commission in 1999.

She was also awarded a scholarship at the Vermont Studio Center in 2012. Branch recently taught drawing and painting at the Taos Academy in Taos NM. Also Beverly has been commissioned many times by Society of Creative Arts in Newtown, Newtown, CT. to demo her creative process to artists and audiences.

She can be found painting live acrylic portraits at Jackies' Trading Post on the Plaza in Taos NM.

Branch's recent relocation from her home state of Connecticut to Taos , New Mexico was catapulted by her discovery of Fetchin, Couse, Berninghaus and others from the Taos Art Colony, painters who lived and worked here. These important artists were not included in her formal art training. The deep feeling and intense beauty displayed by these artists activated a mysterious longing; bringing to life her own mother's acknowledgement of Native People's lineage.

Recent study of her ancestors indicate, in fact ,Cherokee bloodlines. Although this line has been watered down throughout the many generations, the spirit of something very strong and undefinable remains. Branch continues to discover and express essential truths of the American West.
